In existence since 1938 and with 33,000 members, the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance is one of the oldest and
largest Snow Sports' Associations in the World. The CSIA's mission of providing a "Vibrant mountain experience to the skiing
public" is promoted trough more than 350 Ski Schools across Canada.
The National Office is comprised of certified Ski Instructors, Ski Coaches, Park & Pipes Instructors as well as Snow
Board Instructors and provides a variety of quality services and benefits to its membership, continually enhancing the
advantages of being a member of the Organization.
In 1998 the CSIA and the PSIA (USA) have joined their efforts and created the "International Mountain Sports Instructors
Association" (IMSIA) which bring together over 60,000 members to work together in promoting the work of the Snow Sports
Professionals.
